Mechanical engineer vacancy Entry level

We are looking for a motivated entry level Mechanical Engineer to join a market leading printing company. Reporting directly to the Production Manager you will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to an engineer looking for a challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

This is a diverse Mechanical Engineer role working on special purpose machinery to specific criteria, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working within a small team of engineers. As world class leaders there will be ample opportunity for personal development.

Tasks & Responsibilities

To perform high quality mechanical assembly, to where possible, the drawings and specifications supplied by the Drawing Office.
To ensure that machine build times are kept within those budgeted by Production.
To immediately report any component shortages to the Shop Supervisor.
Responsible for reporting any quality failures
To ensure that there are sufficient supplies of consumable components to perform the tasks required.
Continuous Improvement
To provide cover for other mechanical engineers
To perform factory maintenance tasks when required.
To perform continual self-inspection checks during the machine build.
To perform machine commissioning and testing as required/requested
